We spent a wonderful holiday in Sanilhac. The ‘green oak’ house offers everything your heart desires: fully equipped kitchen, fireplace room, roof terrace, ... unfortunately the jacuzzi was not yet in operation when we were there in spring 2024! Martin was always easy to reach and a great host who provided us with lots of tips for activities. Best of all, Martin speaks fluent German, English and French! The sleepy-looking village in Provence not only offers a charming bakery with delicious croissants and a pizza day once a week, but also a mini-brewery with extremely tasty craft beers. The best thing about the village, however, is its central location for varied excursions into the heart of Provence. Uzes, with its huge weekly market in a picturesque setting within cycling distance, and the nearby Gardon valley are worth the trip alone. Pont du Gard was more impressive to me than any other Roman building outside Italy. The cities of Nimes and Avignon with their museums and shopping facilities are touristy, but still a must for art lovers. My personal highlight was the trip on the steam train from Anzuce to St Jean du Gard - indescribably beautiful! We will be back!

We really enjoyed our week staying at Maison Chêne Vert in Sanhilac. The house itself is a lovely rustic French farmhouse with all the expected amenities and plenty of space. The Village is very picturesque and has a boulangerie, restaurant, and ad hoc markets, which were all very useful. The Village is also ideally placed for visiting attractions like Pont du Gard, Nimes and Uzes. We look forward to coming back.

Atypical, old village house with lots of charm, vaulted ceilings, interior well, large fireplace, exposed stonework. We had an excellent family stay with Martin in a small village between Uzès and Nimes. Martin was very attentive and responsive to make our stay enjoyable. We were greeted by a neighbour at the appointed time. The house has plenty of sleeping space and a solarium with a beautiful view over the countryside. We recommend the house for visiting the Pont du Gard and the nearby Cévennes.
